About some of the rules...
#1
Hello everypony,

this is my first time Galacon, so I might sound like a newbie:
'I've read in the rules that I can't approach the Guests of Honor in their downtime,
but does that also mean I can't approach them at all? Because I would love to have an autograph. photo, and a few voice-samples for future animations from me~ ^^;

I hope you can answer my question Fluttershy grin .'

Sincerely: 'Niels Oost RD wink (Or McNick which is my NICKname... It's complicated humour, I made that nickname when I was young, plus the fact that I'm terrible at creating names... ^^;;;;).'

This is a common convention rule, because often visitors forget that guests of honour are human beings and noch machines who please the visitors wishes.

For autographs we have signing sessions scheduled - voice samples depend on the mood of the guest of honour. If he/she approaches you or want to have some banter with fans, we won't stop them.

0-0 oh dear... I definantly don't want to look like one of those people :O

Oh I have one more question:
'Is it okay to ask them something? Because I saw this video from Saberspark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsOo_r-NdB4 and I saw that it was okay to approach them, BUT! Without freaking them our with some of your questions! Maybe that can be another rule: 'Don't ask personal stuff at some of the cast-members?''

EDIT: 'nevermind this question >_(\ ...It's obvious that I can ask something to them, except when they're in their downtime, I'm sorry for asking this, not-so-smart-question... XD'

If they walk around they con normally they expect to be talked to - that comes naturally.
It's basically about not annoying them (like you said, behaving like a total nutjob). Being polite is all you need. I can tell that Mrs. Heed had a lot of fun interacting with people last year.

As long as this goes civilized, it's all good.

Alright, thanks for telling me. Happy

yeah, I know what you mean with 'acting like a total nutjob'...

Personally I can't wait until Galacon, it's my first convention,
and I'm still hoping that I can speak to a few famous bronies and the cast of the show of course~ :)

P.s. I like your name: 'Stargaze' I've always been a big fan of Kingdom Hearts,
in the game they said that every star out there is a heart to another planet, I know it's not true, but...
I still love the idea of it. RD deals with it

I'll say this here since this applies to all:

The volunteer staff is there for you at any time.
Never be afraid to ask, even if you consider your question stupid. We're well aware that there are fristtimers and thus will always respond gladly.

As for the username ... thanks, if you wish to talk about it, let's move that to PMs.

Alright, thanks! Fluttershy grin I think I'm going to have a great time there, since it's so open-armed,
oh another question though: 'I was thinking to go with a friend,
and we both want the PLUS ticket: 'How fast are those sold out? I am planning to wake up early on a saturday,
but I'm mostly worrying for my friend, cause I feel really bad if(?) I have a plus ticket, and he has a normal ticket. I'm mostly asking this since I've seen the list of BUCK and the tickets were sold out immidiatly.'

As for the PM's: 'alright, if I'm going to talk about the username it will be by PM's' Smiling.

5% of all tickets are BIZZAM Tickets, 10% are PLUS, the rest (85%) is Standard. That's been confirmed.

RUMOUR has it, there's 800 total (80 Plus, 40 Bizzam), BUT that's not worth believing, unless the STAFF themselves answers that.

Not unlikely since the venue is dimensioned for about 1k people and there are the staff members, volunteers, medics, guests of honor etc.

We can be sure of one thing though: It will be crowded Happy

Aye, that's why I am rather willing to believe it's gonna be 1.000+ tickets.
Usually the calculations (for event halls and locations etc.) go by guest numbers, then the staff is always extra. Back in 2012 it was even talks about 1.200 people, but that was before the current location was decided upon, thus my scepsis.

Anyway, depending on this year's resonance the Con wil either grow or remain as it will be in August.

Still, gotta wait for weatherhof or Perry to confirm.
Probably they're waiting until Kallistri to see how well the sales go and increase numbers if the demand is high enough later this year. That would be careful business and much appreciated.

Alright, thanks for the answers,
so I don't have to worry that my friend and me are too late for the plus tickets?

Since nobody answered you yet, I'll do that in case you don't have your tickets yet.
All the PLUS and BIZZAM tickets are sold out for now. There might still be the chance to get one of these, though.
(If somebody does not pay his ticket in the scheduled time, it will be free for others again. Also there's still the chance of additional PLUS-tickets.)
