BUCK 2016 Weekend and Day Tickets ON SALE!

The time has arrived! After a few agonising weeks of ironing out the last minute details, we’re ready to launch tickets for BUCK 2016!

Unlike previous years, we’re going to be running a modular ticket system. This means that instead of buying a single ticket of the chosen tier, everyone buys a day or weekend ticket, and then a selection of extras for whatever perks they want with it.

Today we’re launching day and weekend tickets only, these attendance tickets are unlimited, so don’t try to crash our website because you’re worrying about them selling out in five minutes!

The ‘Add-On’ extras will become available at a later date, which we will announce in advance.

Fastpass & Memories Ticket Extras Out Next Week!



So our ongoing machinations are bearing further fruits in the form of MORE TICKET EXTRAS.
Fastpass and Memories extras Wave 1 will be available for purchase from 8th of August – that’s next Saturday!

With the Fastpass extra you get priority entry to the convention, skipping past the main queues to get earlier access to events. You can also pre-register on Friday afternoon, allowing you to walk straight through registration on Saturday morning!

Meanwhile, a Memories ticket will net you the exclusive BUCK 2016 poster, and your name in the sponsor section of the 2016 Conbook. This combination of artefacts will forever preserve your participation in BUCK!


We’ve got more ticket extras coming out later this month too! So stay tuned for more information – and remember, all our tickets are being released in two Waves, so if you’ve missed out on a limited edition ticket, there’ll be another chance later on this year!

Wear It and Crazy Golf Ticket Extras Out This Weekend!


Happy Monday everyone!
Today we bring word of MORE TICKET EXTRAS that are coming your way – the Wear It and Crazy Golf extras will be on sale this weekend, or Saturday 22nd of August to be exact!

The Wear It ticket extra will reserve you the 2016 edition of BUCK’s 20% Cooler T-shirt, an exclusive piece of apparel that can’t be bought on our merch table, or anywhere else for that matter! It also demonstrates your support for BUCK Con by being a wearable flag of sponsor-level ticket, so the entire world will probably know that you went to probably the best convention in the world!

This shirt will be designed by our fabulous design officer Ari, whose art adorns our banners, cover images, and more – so if you like the pictures you see on this page, you’re gonna love this shirt!

Wear It and Crazy Golf Ticket Extras Now On Sale!



We’re back with another ticket release! As heralded at the start of the week, you can now purchase both the Crazy Gold and Wear It ticket extras!

With the Crazy Golf extra, you’ll be in attendance to a private match of Crazy Golf at Paradise Island with your fellow attendees and our special guests. This takes place Friday afternoon to kick off a weekend of BUCK!

The long-awaiting Wear It extra is pre-purchase of the coveted BUCK 20% Cooler t-shirt, a standing tradition of donation-tier ticket holders. This year’s design is by our design officer Ari, who will be handing over the freshest designs to us for show in a few weeks time!


We’ve got a whole list of cool merchandise to be revealed over the coming months that we’re aching to show you – as well as news on guests and events!

At long last BUCK is proud to announce the SSC 2016 music event, running in early Spring, on the evening of Saturday 9th of April!

Another premiere line-up of some of our favourite musical performers will be bringing a five-hour music-fest to round off the first day of BUCK 2016.

Featuring a range of music from EDM DJs to Live Metal Bands and everything in between, the Summer Sun Celebration is a party with something for everyone. Hear your favourite tunes, new tunes, something different, and experience one of the most unique concerts known to man.

The SSC 2016 Lineup Continues!



Last week we announced the return of the Summer Sun Celebration, BUCK’s five hour music fest, and to celebrate, we’re giving away a BUCK Weekend Ticket to get you in!

The SSC brings music from all corners of the fandom together in one place, bringing something for everyone. It’s the perfect night to hear music you know and something new that you’ll also love, all on a massive sound system at EventCity, Manchester.

But now let’s run down today’s performer announcements, starting off with Acoustic Brony, back in band again with old favourites, wacky covers, and some tracks fresh off their upcoming brand new album:

The Season Premiere/Finale meet is back, this year teaming up with BUCK!

Join us once again in the heart of the capital for a celebration of the finale of the latest season of everyone’s favourite pony show!
There will be the usual pub quiz, music, card games, vendors and prizes as well as the long awaited season finale itself!

BUCK Needs You!



HEY, YOU! Want to get involved in event organising? Want to be part of the team that makes BUCK happen, both in preparation, and on the day? THEN KEEP READING.
We’re still looking for volunteers for the BUCK 2016 team, particularly in the following areas:

Merch Manager: Merch team performs two roles – liaising with vendors who will be attending the convention b 6 – and also handling BUCK Con merchandise, which means organising merch designs with our artists, talking to our suppliers to place orders, and managing the merch table on the day. Applicants should be good at handling numbers, organised, and talking to people.


Public Relations Manager: PR handles external communications, particularly monitoring and posting to our social media channels, as well as seeking new channels and audiences to spread the Word of BUCK. Applicants should have a strong online presence, and good at juggling a lot of accounts and making sure each one is updated regularly.

Registration Manager & Team members: Reg team handle the tickets. They handle ticket enquiries during planning, such as re-issuing tickets, special tickets (eg, for carers and children) and other general emails. On the day, they handle the front desk, issuing wristbands and directing people. Applicants should be good at staying on top of emails, and good at dealing with the public.

BUCK 2016 Charity Auction Nominations

It’s that time again!


BUCK is looking for a charity to support this year in our charity auction – and we want YOU GUYS to help us choose one.
Previously supported charities:

2012: National Autistic Society
2013: Cardiac Risk in the Young
2014: JDRF (Type 1 Diabetes Research and Support)

We’ll be taking your suggestions over the next week or two, then we’ll trim the list down and do a public poll for winner.
Guidelines (may or may not change as we remember things)

1. Must be a small/medium size UK charity (Something small enough where we actually make a difference, not just pay the phone bill for a month)
2. Preferably something relevant to the fandom, by assisting youth, community, or ponies or something!
3. Must be someone we haven’t already supported.

Tis the season to be jolly, tralalalala lalalala. The stuff we’ve planned: we’re off our trolley! Yes, we’re here to expend our annual quota of mandatory merriment!

Since it’s also the season for giving, now is the time to give the gift of BUCK ‘16. A ticket to best horse con makes a spectacular present as the anticipation only gets better as we near April. We’ve even got special Christmassy tickets.

Buy a ticket before Jan 1st 2016, and we’ll throw in our own Christmas present: our 2016 SSC poster (RRP £10) entirely FREE, which you can collect at the convention on the day. This preview is still a WIP, we’ve got more names to add, but we’re not quite ready to share them!



In case you haven’t seen all of our updates, BUCK is BACK for April 2016 with our best party ever. We’ve got a weekend of workshops, panels, fun and games lined up that span every interest you could want, from art to cupcake decorating, collectible card games to the ever-popular retro video game tournament.

We’ve got the legendary Summer Sun Celebration on Saturday night, featuring five hours of music including Rock, Metal, K-Pop and EDM – plus we’ll be keeping our games rooms open throughout the evening so you can crash out on the consoles during your breaks.


On top of all of that, we also see the return of our Charity Auction (here’s to breaking another academy record, we raised £12,500 last year); and an all new Cosplay Competition, featuring proper categories!

Over Christmas we’ll be planning all this and more, so stay tuned for announcements on the panels and workshops, the community guests that will be hosting them, and more VIPs to show you their craft.
