Welp, here goes nothing.

Name's Pulse Wave, but you've probably figured that out already. I'm from Germaney, from the same city as Perry, to be more precise, and I'm one of the oldest German bronies (37 years).

I became a brony in May 2011 before the show even came to Germaneigh. June 2011 saw me officially joining the herd (Everypony), and about another month later, I signed up at Bronies.de, user #15, it was that early, yes. I got interested in background ponies quickly and used to their fan names long before Hasbro messed with them in Wave 3, and I shall continue to use the old fan names. I've already been at the 2012 Galacon (the guy with the Seafoamswirlwhatever blind bag pony), and yes, I shall attend this year's incarnation. I tend to spend comparatively outrageous amounts of bits on conventions, for example on a nice hotel room and a first-class train ticket like a sir.

So far, my contributions to the bronydom have been few, if any notable. I "inspired" a couple of meet-ups which I envisioned to be small (that was in autumn 2011) but which quickly went out of hoof and exploded at least twice. I occasionally work on two pony wikis, and I spontaneously helped at a collectors' convention which was in fact mostly run by bronies in the end.

However, I have plans to record some music, fire up my synth setup (as in piles of hardware, some of which is more than 20 years old) and get all the songs out that have been stuck in my head for months now. I can't promise anything but I might get something done in time for the Galacon.

You won't catch me on Facebook or Skype; try Friendica and XMPP instead. I set up a brony page on Friendica, but I've got too little time to actually keep it alive.

Best pony see sig and profile, best Mane 6 pony is Rarity because she's that fabulous, best secondary pony is Photo Finish because she has DE MAGIKS (and she's got the hams like Rarity).

I didn't consider my presence here necessary before yesterday. But I've changed my mind.

Hello there everypony,

I'm ShadowHooves. A few of you allready know me from Bronies.de.
I'm 23 years old, and I started watching MLP about 5 month ago and fell in love with the show, the adorable design of the ponies and the smart storyboard.
I came here because I'll be a volunteer at the GalaCon and.... somehow it seems like it's important for me to be here as well o.O
Anyways... I don't bite or hit people so... if there are any questions: just ask me.

Hello there, fellow Bronies! Salute

I'm Fairey Gannet - polish brony, 26 years old.
I've became "Hell Bent For Ponies Leather Rebel" (it must end like this, when little ponies meets Judas Priest :) ) around half of the first season, but I wasn't aware of other bronies for next few weeks, until I found polish blog For Glorious Equestria - kind of local Equestria Daily.

I'm student of... digging. Digging graves, tresaures and that kind of things. My lectors are calling it archeology, and student is a term for slave :) In nutshell, it looks like this:
Dr Slave Master: Dig! Dig! Hahaha! Dig you lazy maggots! Bring me gold! The whip will teach you, whimps! Faster, you filthy scums! Crack the whip!
Students: Yes, Master! Wise, good Master, no pain, please! Here! Here! Gold for Master! Good Master! Is Master happy?

Except of digging, I'm helping with organisation of Cracow meetups since 3rd Meetup (now, we're after first real Con in Poland, and at the break of 10th big intercity event in Cracow), and with my brother, Starlight, we're making "sleep-over" (yeah, riiight) brony holidays in our mountain cottage. Greatest, and somewhat legendary, event occured in August: 16 bronies managed to survive for 3 weeks with no casualties. Now we're planning few crazy things, including mobile meetup in hired bus, whole month mountain event and couple more, but considered as a suprise, so shhh! :) I'm only allowed to say, that if it works, bronies will know at once. Pinkie Promise.

If you want to, you can find me on Facebook, as Fairey Gannet :) I could reply with little delay, but for sure - I'm always happy to hang out with bronies, even virtually.
I'm looking forward to make new relations aboard and to finally take part in big Con.

Take care and see you around!

Fairey Gannet Brohoof

Well, looks like I finally signed up here as well. I don't think I've ever posted in an introductions thread before, so please bear with me.

I was born in Berlin, Germaneigh, but have already lived in Princeton NJ, Tokyo, Durham UK and Bielefeld, where I also co-organized a few meetups. Yeah, my life has been crazy like that. I'm currently a student of Computer Science at Dortmund University of Technology, and soon to enter my second semester. The first one was awesome due to weekly pony time with a rather large herd of other students from the same department. I like this uni.

I became hooked on the show shortly before Season 2. YouTube was full of those little clips that were just a few seconds long, and when I finally caved in to looking at them, they seemed cute enough, so I wanted to know more. The rest is history. I haven't been to a con before, but I'm planning on attending GalaCon and BUCK this year; still undecided on any others. Greetings to those in this thread whom I already know! Good to see you.

In my free time, I like to internet. A lot. This mostly results in ponies nowadays, but not all the time. I also like to read, listen to music (almost exclusively pony these days, though I'm never one to pass up good music of any genre), play games, and generally do fun stuff. I also play the piano, though I haven't really touched it much recently and have probably become rather terrible. Really need to get some practice in. I speak fluent English and German, ok-ish French (I'm told), and I studied Japanese in school. I also used to be rather brilliant at Latin, though that has dulled down considerably in the years since.

Celestia is my avatar because... well, I admire her very much, and she doesn't get nearly the respect she deserves. I would never dare to compare myself to her, but I do tend to assume a position of at least co-leadership if a lack of such becomes apparent, and I look to her as a shining example if I am unsure what is the right thing to do. Praise the sun.

My favourite pony, however, is, and there is absolutely no competition there, Rainbow Dash. I can't really explain why, she just is. Some might say I'm obsessed with her. I'm not really sure I'd want to object. There is probably no pony I truly dislike, though. Except maybe Prince Blueblood. And maybe I'll even grow to respect him if I read a fan fic that changes my mind. But it would have a tough time succeeding.

So yeah. Awkward introductory text completed. I'm really not that good at talking about myself. Feel free to ask me stuff, I'm most active on Twitter, though "active" is relative. Anyway, I'm glad to be here, and hope we get along fine. Twilight happy

Yep, in the middle of the night, too. Of course, I had to miss Wave 1 Celestia Tier, and had to settle for 20% Cooler Tier + the party tickets instead. I'm hoping to upgrade with the next wave. Galacon did a lot better with the ticket sale announcements, imho, but this is neither the time, or the place.

I'm looking forward to seeing you as well - it's been quite a while since PCRP², after all. Mare, that was fun. RD deals with it

Really now? What did you study? And are you still in the area? We have weekly pone every Tuesday at 1800 in Room E37 of OH14. (currently replaced by Game of Thrones due to lack of new episodes, but we'll return to pony soon enough) We always love to see new faces! We also have weekly sessions of Roleplaying is Magic, but I suppose it's better to be part of the group from the start for that kind of thing. Hmm...

@IvoryKeysADSR: Checking out your stuff made me feel even worse about neglecting my piano. Now I really need to get some practice in! Also, your Ambient stuff reminds me to finally get on to reading Fallout: Equestria. Anyways, welcome to the forum! (if I even have any kind of authority to say this kind of thing ^^")

Edit: And I just noticed that you have actually been active on this forum before, and just decided to introduce yourself now. So may I correct my misguided "welcome" to a more fitting "pleased to (electronically) meet you", which still sounds odd. Yeah, I'm not really to good at this being social thing. -.-

and thats just confirms my thesis that most (I mean it: MOST!) of us Bronies are students/former students or ponies with higher educations. I still have to meet a Bronie who is a roadman or roofer.
...
I already know a Bronie who is a landscape architect aka gardener, but thats something else.

Hi everypony,
it felt like a time to join this great forum after weeks of lurking.
My nickname and pony name both are Northern Cross due to my burning passion for Nordics. My real name is Katerina, I'm turning 22 in literally a couple of days, born and raised in Czech Republic. I've been a pegasis since March 2011, besides that I'm a science student, for fun I like to draw, sing, write and bake muffins.
Few of you might have met me at the very first Galacon in my Derpy Hooves cosplay. I'd like to catch up with those who visited last year and meet some new friends as well.
