[2015] Taxi at sunday night?
#1
So yeah, the question basically is the same as the topic title.

I'm going back home by plane. I have to take it late sunday night (well, more like dawn monday) at Stuttgart airport.
I just want to be 100% sure I can take a cab that day.

And by the way, where can I find taxis in Ludwigsburg?
Or can I ask the hotel reception to call them for me?

That week end I'm staying at Ibis hotel in Ludwigsburg.

Thank you for your attention! Twilight smile

Dear Ricardo, you have the option to ask your hotel staff - or fetch one of the ready taxis at the train station.

If you want to book your taxi already online (or by phone), you can find one service here: http://taxi-bleile.de/

Oh, I need to get to the airport early in the morning as well. The S-Bahn starts working at 5 a.m. Am I right?

The first train will be the S5 at 4:46 - change at the Main Station to the S3 and arrive at the airport at 5:42.

General hint: If you go to bahn.de, you can enter your start point, destination, and approximate time of departure or arrival, and it'll show you all available connections. You can also use the DB Navigator app on mobile. If you enter an adress or point of interest as destination (e.g. "Forum am Schlosspark"), it'll give you a map how to walk there from the closest train station.

I prefer those to the VVS apps, since those only take Stuttgart's public transportation network into consideration, while the DB tools "know" all networks in Germany, plus the long-distance trains obviously.

by this map (http://mapsof.net/map/stuttgart-suburban...map-s-bahn ) seems like S2 and S3 go next to the airport.

Yes, both S-Bahn Lines, S2 as well as S3 stop at the airport. You'll be entering the airports Terminal 1 once you leave the S-Bahn station via the escalators.

But from Ludwigsburg, you'll have to take the S5 first, to get to Stuttgart Central station for train switch

Also, like Derpwave wrote. reisauskunft.bahn.de (or their app) is always the best method to find out a connection.

Use this link: http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query2....crollDir=1
All connections at monday morning starting from 5am. This page is only available in german though, sorry.
Click on the red arrow to see details about train switch.

These links depend on cookies and just work temporarily anyway. Neither VVS nor DB provide you with permalinks for travel information unfortunately, you've got to start a new search every time you revisit the page if it's been mor than a few minutes.

Google Translator isn't the best Opinion (if you want to translate complete Parts of a "text") it's Cause the sin has been loose by Google Translator. You need a bit Phantasy to translate it (with the Sin) back.
